Feed FAQ
Do I need to build an XML feed?
If your brokerage participates in an MLS, they may be able to supply us with a property feed on your behalf. If not, then we recommend a custom feed. If your brokerage syndicates through ListHub, we can process data through them.
How many properties can I supply in a feed?
There's no limit on the number of listings in a feed.
Are there restrictions on images in the feed?
There's no limit on the number of photos synced, but each file should be no larger than 10MB. Supported formats include JPG/JPEG, PNG, and GIF. We recommend images be at least 1800px horizontal and/or vertical.
How often is data updated from my feed?
We typically pull listing updates from your XML endpoint every 2 hours. Source data is required to be updated at least once every 24 hours. Stale feeds and listings within may be deactivated after notifying the feed owner.
What protocols do you support?
We currently support HTTPS with optional basic authentication and SFTP.
Do you support HTML or email addresses in listing fields?
We don't support HTML or emails in the property description or other descriptive fields. Entries in your feed violating that restriction are flagged as such in our processing report.
Why would a listing be rejected?
If a listing fails to meet our land-centric property requirements, it won't be accepted.
- When a property has a structure over 800 square feet, it must have a minimum of 2 acres.
- State, county, and city names must match our official naming or one of our aliases.
- HTML, links, or email addresses cannot be included in your descriptive fields.
- We must be able to map your property so setting the latitude and longitude is recommended.

My listing meets your requirements. Why was it still disqualified?
If you feel your listing was incorrectly disqualified, contact us. We'll take a look at it and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Will you build a feed for me?
We don't build feeds, but we'll do our best to provide any needed guidance, and help in any way we can.
How long does it take for a listing update to reflect on LandSearch?
Since we run all feeds every 2 hours, the longest it would take would be approximately 2 hours.
Do you provide reporting on feeds?
The processing report is available in your account outlining the results of your feed including warnings or errors with helpful descriptions. Warnings will not keep listings from being accepted but are strong recommendations to update an aspect of the listing information to improve the listing's quality. Errors will keep listings from being accepted and must be resolved based on the error description to be accepted.
Do you send my listings to any other sites?
No. A feed submitted to us will only display on LandSearch. We don't syndicate listings to any other platforms.
Who do I contact if there's a problem?
Send a detailed description of the issue to support@landsearch.com.
