Residential Land with Home for Sale in Rayburn Township, Pennsylvania
728 State Route 1033 Rayburn Township, PA 16259
Historic Armstrong County gem, formerly known as the "Bridge View Hotel" , located along the Armstrong Trail in Mosgrove, PA. Originally built in 1901 by John Henry Rebold and named after the ornate balconies facing the Allegheny River over which the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railroad trestle spans. The hotel served as a popular tourist destination, many of whom made the trip on the Pennsylvania Railroad, as well as traveling on the "Nellie Hudson" via the Allegheny River. A hotel bar regularly served coal miners from a nearby mine owned by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. In 1914 the hotel caught fire, and in the years that followed was rebuilt on the original stone foundation, as the structure that still stands today. Updated sections of the property make for many possibilities. The property has access to Pine Creek, which connects to the Allegheny River. Trailside/River Hotel? Brewery? The possibilities in the wake of economic growth thanks to the Armstrong Trail are endless.
